I really found myself unexpectedly moved by this book! It is a fun romance that also touches on finding love after a partner passes, handled with a lot of respect while also being a fun fake dating story.
I will say that it really bothered me that apparently Wren (that main character)HAS FOUR OSCARS. The only person who had had four Oscars for acting is Katherine Hepburn, and apparently Wren has won them all before turning 35. Even if Wren is facing uncertainty about how her career would be after coming out as a lesbian, she would have directors breaking down her door begging her to star in their films.
It’s a small nitpick, and thankfully it is more of an offhand detail that the story isn’t really about, but it bothered me 😂

A delightful read, exactly what you want from a queer romcom. The exploration of the characters’ individual challenges added great depth to them.
