Before that I had only read one E.Henry book. And it was meh for me. So I very timidly tried to give her another chance with her older book.
And I'm glad I did! How I liked this story! How I liked those journeys. Those curiosities in them.
From friends to lovers - one of my favorite "trope" 🤩
And maybe as always the characters could have talked to each other faster, but I  like it that way in this book.
So overall - this is a really great book for the summer! And now I will be more courageous to take other Henry books🤩

Stupid story that I’ve watched already in When Harry met sally, One day, and so on. Every line was so predictable and the story didn’t once surprise me. The characters were shallow and poorly fleshed out (I was actively rooting against them the whole time).  Emily Henry made me hate friends to lovers. It gets 0.5 because the writing itself was pretty decent.

solid 3.5. slow burn, romcom vibes. little too slow for me i think—i was at page 200/360 without much romance at all. the characters are fun but lowk the amount of inside jokes that they have that are sooooo not funny is kinda obscene

Okay I actually liked this book and the characters a lot more than I remember. Rereads are important. Especially when a movie is about to come out
