Bust Your Windows and Before He Cheats - chorus only - equally work fit the intro to this book. The revenge scheme is a bit of a bang (and not the spicy kind) at the beginning with potential for consequences throughout, but did I quite enjoy the fallout and the immediate listen of both songs.
Amy is good at her job, brilliant with ideas and looking for a diamond in the rough. She is not, however, brilliant at navigating relationships with work and it gets cloudy. Dating her boss in secret in hindsight was a recipe for disaster. Fleeing across the pond to England gives Amy the second chance she needs and the time to lick her wounds privately. But things have a way of coming back and her boss in the interim is none other than that slick ex she has been avoiding. Teaming up with her neighbor, Jake, might be the best way to keep her job and her sanity in tact.
Lizzy is one of my first author interactions on Instagram. She's a delightful human and that personality shines through in her books. I will always want to pick up her books and this one is the most romance centric of them to date, which I naturally loved.
Brittany Pressley delivers in this narration. I love her voice for this type of book, featuring a sassy down-on-her-luck heroine with the world to conquer.

love literally anything Lizzy Dent writes. The Set-up was one of my favorites of last year, so I had high hopes for this one. just as wonderful as I expected!!!!!!!!
This was a fun read - thanks, NetGalley. I loved that it was about people who love TV cuz I’m one of those people, too! I dug the settings in the UK. And I loved The Incident! Hilarious. It was a lot of fun.

Getting drunk and taking revenge on her ex-boyfriend/boss sounded good at the time but only led to more heartbreak for Amy. Her career is toast and her love life is obliterated. Looking for a fresh start, Amy finds herself in London. Two years later things are finally starting to look up.
The Sweetest Revenge was such a cute read. I absolutely adored Amy. Not only does she have the same name as I do, but how could you not relate to a woman who has been scorned and humiliated by someone she loved? I loved her meet-cute with Jake. Jake had his own fair share of baggage and humiliation. He was also looking for a fresh start and ended up with an unexpected friendship with Amy.
Together, Jake and Amy made quite the pair. Their banter was entertaining and I enjoyed the ease of their relationship. No good love story would be without its fair share of ups and downs and I thoroughly enjoyed watching these two characters navigate their way to happily ever after.
If you enjoy romances about a woman scorned getting her revenge and a second chance at love, you won’t want to miss The Sweetest Revenge by Lizzy Dent.

All of the praise for The Sweetest Revenge, Lizzy Dent is brilliant in the realm of romcoms! I love her writing style, as she’s very clear about what she wants to communicate without unnecessary fluff. There’s so much said with fewer words, & I really appreciate a quick romance that makes my heart do a lil happy dance.
The pace of Jake & Amy’s relationship throughout the story was perfect, well worth the wait. I really enjoyed the way they communicated together and think it was a beautiful example of what love & healing from your past can look like.

I can't believe I'm only just discovering Lizzy Dent because "The Sweetest Revenge" was an absolute gem! This rom-com deserves a solid 5 out of 5 stars. It's packed with all the emotions - love, heartbreak, & a dash of sweet revenge - making it an unforgettable read.
The characters in this book felt incredibly real & relatable, which drew me in from the very beginning. The story revolves around two main characters, both trying to escape their past mistakes. Their accidental meeting due to a wrong delivery sets the stage for an engaging plot as they help each other find their footing once again.
With the addition of an ex-lover, the story turns into a roller coaster ride of emotions that had me hooked. Lizzy Dent's writing is top-notch, and I found myself bursting into laughter at several points in the book. The humor is spot-on!
I opted for the audiobook version, & it was nothing short of terrific. The narration brought the characters to life, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.
