Beautiful writing! I read this after it was recommended in a book club, and I had no idea who Marjorie Post was. I was a bit surprised when I got into the book, but the writing and the otherworldly wealth and unique ways Marjorie used it kept me going. Had I known what the book was about, I likely wouldn’t have started it, but I ended up loving it.

Magnificent book!!! What a life. A true rags to riches story. Marjorie was married four times to four very different men. She lived in many places and designed beautiful mansions. She gave of her time and money to help others.

The Post name is well known in Michigan. We love our cereal here! I had no recollection Marjorie Merriweather Post, but this beautiful historical fiction book was everything. It tells of a strong and glamourous woman. Some may say she was American royalty. She loved many and she lived large. One thing was certain, no man was going to get in the way of building her general foods empire.
