I just can't. Every single page I've read of this book has been a struggle. I hated the first book, but because I saw a gorgeous special edition, I convinced myself to try this one in case I liked it so that I could collect pretty editions.

BUT. Not even the most gorgeous book could convince me to keep going with this. Fallon joins a very small club of the most unlikeable main characters I've ever read. Everything moved incredibly slowly, which was inexcusable in my opinion since the first book already moved extremely slowly.

I told myself I would make a sincere effort to get to at least the halfway point before I gave up, but this book is too long for me to have the energy to read such bad writing and such bad plot/character development for another 100+ pages.

0 stars if I could.

miscommunication trope is not my fav and it was quite frustrating in this book. other than that, i thoroughly enjoyed it and im in looooove with lore (if the man would open up his mouth to SPEAK, i would love him more)

Lore SAs* her in a bathtub in chapter 50 after lying to and gaslighting her for 60% of the book about being engaged, the safety or location of poeple she cares about, the verity of threats against her, to manipulate her into understandung the bond.

Fallon, likely due to the fact that no one in her life is upset with the amount of control being wrenched from her as a thank you for saving thier kingdom and acting like its totally normal because the cage being forced has diamonds or whatever, is whiny and reckless - insufferable.

Almost no animal interactions.

All set.

Wonderful and thrilling

I adored this book and am so impatient for the next to come out. Each one of these characters have my heart and I am eager to know what is going to happen next for Fallon and Lore. There are so many questions left unanswered.

I'm not going to lie, I skimmed most of this to the end.

While I think the story is great, this book could've been like 200 pages.
Most of it was the characters just saying the same thing over and thing, more dialogue than action.

Fallon reminds me of a more immature Feyre, but lasting way longer before she realized.

I'm still very excited for the next one, but it should've been shorter, and less miscommunication with the whole cast of characters.

Did I read this all in one night? Yes! Was it worth the loss of sleep? Also yes! Lore and Fallon have my heart and their story is COMPELLING - enough to sacrifice a LOT of sleep over and jump right into the next one.
