An astonishing book!! Scope and breadth rivals any of the other great world building novels . Now have to March forward inexorably through the foundation series !!! A must read for anybody who loves science fiction or good literature or even the possibilities that the future holds

This was pretty good. I didn't love it, felt it was a bit too slow with not much occurring, but it wasn't that bad. I committed to this series, and so far I am not unhappy with that commitment.

I read this before re-reading the original trilogy and wish I had waited. So much great background about Hari Seldon that would've been better after his mythos was built up in the trilogy.

While I did really enjoy this story told from the point of view of a young Hari Seldon, the plot doesn’t really make sense to me. The jumping around is just chaotic and at times Hari seems like a complete moron. The ending is okay though and the plot twist is great for readers of Asimov’s Robot series.
