FINALLY A 5 STAR IN THIS SERIES! I was beginning to think it wasn’t in the cards. How ironic that it was Maisy’s story when I liked her the least throughout the last four books.

I loved Maisy and Coby’s relationship and the life she built for them. Suddenly, I want to buy an inn in Montana.

Hunter is dreamy. Plain and simple. Thank God for dual POVs because I loved watching him fall for Maisy.

The suspense in this one was just right. The first four books were doing way too much and were so over the top. The kidnapping was still a BIT on the nose, but it worked. How many kidnappings can occur in one town though? Honestly.

I was itching to know Hunter’s backstory the whole time and Devney managed to surprise me. I thought for sure Nell was Everett’s sister. I was so thankful that Maisy didn’t technically break things off with Hunter when she found out the truth. AND that she acknowledged that he did try to fess up. I can’t stand a third act breakup and I definitely can’t stand an unreasonable FMC. Devney gave me neither and for that I adore her even more than I already did.

And PS. The found family in this series is beautiful. I want one!

Maisy the poor girl has major struggles but she managed to stay the sweetest angel girl to everyone while running her successful business and raising her son. Maisy and Hunter are the definition of love at first sight, there was major attraction there but they really took their time getting to know each other. Maisy is concerned that everything is going to come crumbling down just like it did before Hunter is reassuring her but he is still keeping secrets.

I was very unsure about Hunter, he seemed like a good guy but he kept keeping secrets and would not give up anything. His redeeming element that the most important thing to him his being the best man for Maisy and Coby which makes up for it. His back story had my jaw on the freaking fall though like I kind of guessed but I was still shocked. The ending felt so similar to Juniper Hill and I was stressed.

Tropes: single mum, guy falls first, close proximity
Triggers: Kidnapping of a child, mental breakdown

The Coppersmith Farmhouse: ⭐⭐
The Clover Chapel:⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
The Lucky Heart:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Outpost: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Bitterroot Inn: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I absolutely loved this story. I don't love a third act breakup but I am glad Devney did things differently so that it was there but it wasn't the main focal point. It just breezed by.

Hunter is the perfect guy. I am obsessed with him and he's not even real.......  I love the way he loves Maisy. This book was everything. I was on a massive book hiatus and this was exactly what I needed.
