Wonderful story!

Loved the story and characters! It was endearing and touching. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I was delighted when I learned that Talia Hibbert has written a small town romance series, having previously reading (and loving) 'The Roommate Risk' and 'The Princess Trap'. I dove straight into this story, read it in a day and give it a positive 3 stars.

Although I have very little in common with Ruth, I can completely understand how easy it would be to fall in love with a Viking-esque next door neighbour who cooks. In fact, you don't even need to be Viking-esque - the cooking skills alone are worth a hand in marriage.

I'm looking forward to continuing on with the series and seeing what other stories Ravenswood has in store.

An easy enjoyable read with a fat black autistic heroine dealing with the fallout of an abusive relationship and small town gossip.

This was super duper sweet. Evan was ridiculously perfect and the very opposite of an alpha-douche, which is normally my thing but with Evan I'd be happy to never encounter one again. He really was lovely. I particularly liked that he wanted to hear things about people from them and not through gossip.

Ruth was wonderful to read. Absolutely prickly but vulnerable and no nonsense. I would have liked a bit more information about her comic and the storyline around that, I'd especially like to know what she gave her two characters who had angry sex on the Derbyshire peat smelling desk!

So very sweet with very little conflict and I'm dying to read about Hannah so onward!!

I like Talia Hibbert’s writing style and voice but this story just wasn’t for me. The steam is next level, the plot just fell kind of flat for me.

Talia Hibbert always knows how to write characters that feel like people you would meet and love, they're real, honest, and end up in the sweetest relationships. Ruth and Evan are both wonderful main characters and they have such sweet banter-y interactions, i loved them.
This is a perfect comfort read that also gives you enough hot, sexy scenes.
