Depressing
This one was as depressing as Beartown, which made me feel nothing but despair, but wanted to see if everyone, or at least some of the characters got better, specially my favorites, one did, the other, no do much.
And even though he appears little I really despised David, it's not about politics or the game, dude, it's about what's right or wrong.
And I hated Beartown and Hed as towns as well.

I made myself slow down on this one, because I could have read it in two days. This one is as good, if not better, than Beartown. I like Backman's storytelling and the way he endears readers to his characters, the way he describes events and uses dialogue to demonstrate emotions and interactions between the characters.
This installment of the Beartown story was not all happy endings, and there's some pretty tragic stuff throughout the book; and despite being terrified that I'll never know what happens with Benji, who was my favorite character from the minute he entered the story in the first book, I'm excited to read the third book in this series.

i hope that every person has the chance to be as enraptured by a book as i am when i read fredrik backman.
he is truly adept at weaving together a story, that has no necessity of being as complex as it is, and making every single page add to that complexity in a way that feels so digestible. the ease of his writing honestly makes me sick because it is executed without flaw. literally every character has such an important role in every action throughout the book. the nuances astound me, i can’t even comprehend how he drafted this book. i bow down to the power of writing that freddy b produces. it is quite literally supreme and i’ve never read anything like it.
but yeah anyway, the book had me feeling every emotion and i was literally ugly crying when i finished. i can’t glow enough about how great of a writer fredrik backman is and i believe that every person should read this series.
