After reading The Mousetrap earlier this year I wanted to read some Agatha Christie stories, and it turns out I love them! This collection has some Poirot, Miss Marple, Harley Quin and others (even one with no murder!) so it was a nice introduction to the main characters and her style. All the stories in this book are autumnal, some more obviously than others.
I didn't expect Agatha Christie to live up to the hype but these characters and stories are just so wonderful!!! And wonderfully told! They're predictable in that there is always a twist, but the twists are not that obvious, and sometimes there's even a twist in the twist. A very satisfying reading experience, I never knew crime could be so cosy. I also love all the old fashion and ways of speaking. I realise I am late to the party but this woman was a genius ❤️
