The beginning of this book showed promise but the middle dragged quite a bit and I found myself wanting to speed up the audiobook to get through it. The twist at the end was barely a breeze in terms of impact. And it was fairly predictable I thought. The protagonist was also quite annoying. The book was just ok to me.

The story starts strong, with an intriguing premise that immediately drew me in. Some of the descriptions were laugh-out-loud funny (to me), and kept my interest. However, some parts were predictable and the ending felt a bit rushed. I wish it would have been fleshed out a bit more.

This book was a little too extreme for me in that the ‘so what, who cares’ was missing a bit. I thought it was an interesting premise but tried to bite off more than it could chew when it came time to connect all the pieces. A good book to read if you want to have something you can come back to without being so absorbed in the world of the story that you ignore your friends and family.

I’m just glad I finished this one.
This book started out so strongly. The premise was intriguing, and it seemed like it would be full of action.
Then came part 2. Maybe I should have read rather than listened, but the audiobook dragged and dragged. The twists and surprises were anticlimactic. The character herself bored me. I wanted to like this story, but it just wasn’t for me. Perhaps I’ll give this author another go in the future.
