Okay, what!? I’m sorry? How is it that no one told me how good this book was? I really have no words. This book has altered my brain chemistry. I was in a chokehold from the very beginning. Wes had me fanning myself from the way he would speak to Callie. His dirty mouth was so incredibly hot.

I always love me some motorcycle romance

After reading the Steel Bones Motorcycle Club books by Cate C. Wells I've been looking for another motorcycle club romance series. I found this one and since I wanted to get into romantic suspense this felt like it was a perfect fit. That being said, I'm so conflicted right now. First of all I didn't like the main characters at all, the plot was weird and it all happened in the span of 3-4 weeks, and at the end of those 3-4 weeks after being apart for 7 years they are already in love and back to the place they were when they were 20? I hate shit like that. And Callie had very good reasons to leave in the first place - everything she had always told Wes she didn't want for her life was what he ultimately made her life become; if she had been able to get a good job, maybe an education and a good place to live she would have had the fortitude to go to her dad's funeral, sell the property and move on with her life. I feel like she deserved more, even if she was a little annoying. And I don't really have a lot of reasons to dislike Wes, I just do. Also what do you mean that in the space of maybe 6 months they went from not seeing each other for 7 years to reconciled, married, living together and she was already pregnant - PLEASE STOP. And going back to the plot I feel like it was so bland - it was one of those books where a lot happened but it felt like nothing happened? How is that possible? The writing also wasn't my favorite - I think Cate really spoiled me when it comes to my MC romances and now I'm a little more critical of them.

It’s like sons of anarchy..:but romance 😆 easy fast paced read. I loved it.
emotional inspiring

A fierce inheritance battle, a love story tangled in old wounds, and a heroine who refuses to back down. Callie and Wes’ history bleeds off the page.  It brings first loves, heartbreak, and a second chance wrapped in fire, grit, and undeniable chemistry. This book delivers ALL the angst and all the heat. This did give me Clifton Forge vibes and I loved every page.

MF, CR, motorcycle club, second chance, friends to lovers to estranged to lovers, dual timelines, standalone, first in a series, dual narration, Everand

I’m a sucker for a friends to lovers (especially childhood best friends to lovers) romance, so I was excited to read this book. The second chance aspect was ok, the reason behind their separation made a bit of sense because the couple was young, but it didn’t fit their supposed epic love for each other. That aside, I loved that this book had the MMC stay faithful and celibate throughout the separation. But, I had a few problems with the story though. This was supposedly a 1% MC but we never hear about the club’s illegal or violent activities, which is fine, but don’t sell me on a tough 1% MC and basically deliver a Shriners club. I also found the main mystery/drama to be sketch and not well developed throughout the book, then it was quickly solved and tied up (with mediocre success) in the last couple of chapters. The MMC was kind of a jerk for the first half of the book, and the FMC wasn’t as tough as I wished her to be. She was very wishy-washy about her convictions, especially about her ties to the MC. But, the audiobook was pretty well done and the sex scenes were pretty good - especially if you enjoy a breeding kink.

I wasn't sure what I would think about this book, but I ended up not being able to put it down, as it kept me wanting to find out what was going to happen. Loved the characters.

Such a beautiful love story between Wes and Callie with a sprinkle of the darker side of MC's. I only put this book down to sleep, it was that good. A great start to a world I can't wait to get more of.
