I loved this book! Beginning to end! It was so mysterious but had other elements too like romance and friendship. It’s four stories in one and how they are intertwined. I couldn’t put it down. So much love for it.

I really enjoyed this book. I felt that as the book went on, the story line and the writing style got a lot better and by the end of the book, Alsaid's writing style was amazing. It was beautiful and hilarious and heart wrenching. But that doesn't take away from the fact that the first character or two that we followed weren't the greatest. However, I did love the road trip aspect and the fact that we didn't really get to learn about Leila until the end of the book, making her story and her journey more of a mystery. Overall, this was a really fun read and I look forward to reading more of Adi Alsaid's books in the future.

Leila is on a road trip to see the Northern Lights. She doesn't have much of a plan and just enjoys riding along in her red red red car and seeing what happens.

First she stops at a service station and meets Hudson. They have a lovely day and night together. He is getting ready for a college interview and doesn't like Leila's intuition on the matter and gets angry and she drives away.

Then outside of Kansas, she picks up Bree. Bree is a runaway who is looking to Seize the Tuesday. She has no end game and is just living life day by day. Their story was my least favorite, but again, Leila helps her companion find her way.

When she is in Minnesota, she meets Elliott when she almost runs over him. The two of them then go on a quest a la 80s movies in order for him to win over his true love.

Finally in Canada, she picks up Sonia who is grieving her boyfriend who passed away unexpectedly but is also tormented b/c she's falling in love again.

Leila touches each of their lives deeply before continuing her journey. And they all have an impact on her as she struggles to find herself.

This one was really sweet. Leila is an amazing character who is strong and kind and significantly more brave than I have ever been.

Really really enjoyed this, but a lot of the events seemed really unrealistic, especially for a contemporary novel.

I absolutely loved this. Like many others have said, this book is a bit reminiscent of John Green's earlier novels (Paper Towns in particular), but--here's where it gets a little crazy-- I thought this book was done much better (GASP). The characters seemed to jump off the pages, and I thought the different perspectives were handled beautifully! Leila in particular was just such a selfless, genuinely lovely person, and I wish I knew more people like her in my own life. I think this is my new favorite road trip book. Highly recommend!

It was time to let go of the mad desire to remember. It was time to start living whatever life would come. In the present, not the past.

What a cute, light read.

If you love road trip books and John Green, then this book is the book for you!

This book follows a girl named Leila who is on a road trip to Alaska to see the northern lights. On her way she meets 4 people, and she makes an impact on these people she meets while traveling north. It's basically like there is 4 short stories tied together with one main character.

At times it was a bit boring, but it was so cute I couldn't put it down (if that makes any sense?!)
So if you are going on a road trip soon I highly recommend this book.
