fast-paced

So much happens in book three and we learn a lot. Some of it was pretty obvious from book two. Some of it was from left field but then not altogether surprising. And some of it was heartbreaking (hence the title.)

This book kept me riveted the whole time. Although there were far too many TSTL moments that had me yelling at the book the action sequences were good. Everything is a question now. The ending was seriously painful though I am hopeful for what could come.

Ready to dive into book four right now.

Loved it. Loved it utterly, could not put it down.

And man, my heart just broke at the end -
Spoilerfuck Boaz and Amelie, and their selfish bullshit. How dare Boaz string her along for weeks like that. He wasn't even being her friend, lying to her about everything. I despise him.

And then, at the very very end, my heart just warmed -
SpoilerI know that we can't entirely trust Linus, because he's in a weird position and has to play games to survive too, it seems. But he loves Grier - he always has - and he bends over backwards to help her. He's there for her without judging. And he deserves a chance. I feel like Linus and Grier can save each other, and that makes me happy.

Already reading onwards. Hooray!

Man, this was the book where I fell utterly in love with this series, and kicked it up to my favorites list.

Emotional

This was an emotional read. The reader feels so much like Grier. The last book left very big questions, and this answered many and some answers sucked. In the middle of the book I chose a guy to root for, and I'm so sad at the outcome. Grier is very cool, and attracts all types of followers. It's great seeing her begin to come out of her shell.

Wow!

This UF series is getting better the longer it goes on. Treachery, revelations, truth, magic.... it’s all here. There’s no way you can get through this book without wanting to throw something, or throat punch a few characters we’ve grown to love.

Pros:
- Emotionally written.
- Truths of the heart always hit hardest.
- Meta Plot takes more definition.
- New Characters slam onto the scene with a flourish.

Cons:
- I don’t like having my heart broken any more than Grier does. Not a con.... just an ouch.

Linus......

How Grier can be all for Boaz is beyond me!!!!! LOVE LINUS!!!!!!!!!

So Grier is And Woolly are adjusting to their two new roommates, Linus (ahhhhh) is the boy next door helping Grier learn her magic.. and Boaz is lunging around like a buffoon...

When Linus and Grier leave town to investigate some attempts to break the wards on Woolly assassination attempts are made on Grier.....

I am loving these books and (SOME!!!) of these characters!!!!!
