All three books were equally as good which I find to be quite rare for a trilogy/set of books containing adult themes.
⚠️Triggers: Child abuse, neglect, death, explicit sexual descriptions, kidnap, violence, pregnancy, pedophilia.
Parts of this made me laugh which surprised me as we got to see more of the ups and downs of Christian's and Ana's intense relationship. This one seemed less emotionally driven to read compared to the others somehow but still heated where necessary.
Out of the 3 I think I enjoyed this one the most as it reflected a real relationship the most (aka the marital spats) and they realise how much they mean to one another.
As always there were plenty of twists and turns to keep things interesting but overall what kept me riveted into committing with this trilogy was how James writes and how I felt deeply and emotionally invested in the characters. Especially when Ray was in hospital I felt myself really rooting for Ana for him to get well again seeing how distraught she was.
Not for everyone but I would recommend as I thought on the whole they were all consistently brilliant. Another great ⭐⭐⭐⭐ read and one of the better endings I've read to round the trilogy off.

I didn't know what to expect from these novels, the ones I swore I would never ever read but I found it a remarkable work, if not brilliant, very cleverly written. It's true, there is an over abundance of explicit sex and language but it is so much more. After reading the entire series of books, now numbering four, there are a few items I must address. In no way, shape or form is this book relating to predator/prey or physical/mental abuse, but it is a book about non conventional sex, and might I stress “consensual sex”.
Grey is the most complex character I have had the pleasure of being introduced to and as the story progresses through the four novels the author unwraps him and brings him forth from the dark to the light. The banter between the two main characters Ana and Christian, either in close contact or the endless emails is priceless. At times I found myself laughing at the authors creative humor, her sense of word play, very entertaining...and different. Throughout the entire work the author was thorough in her scenarios, you could very well place yourself as a fly on the wall, she paid attention to the minutest of details. The story is a poignant one and well worth reading.
Christian Grey was a brilliant self made wealthy attractive man but his world was “monochrome”, one fateful day a young college student Anastasia Steele literally fell into his office to interview him for a college newspaper...and the color slowly slipped in. With this final edition of the trilogy, in the literary sense the story of two fictional characters has come full circle but will remain long in my memory, one of my favorite reads. I will be reading the final two Grey stories, as told by his narration when and if the author chooses to write them. To E. L. James: you are a very talented writer regardless of how this work is accepted....well done.

Me gustó más que los otros 2 pero el final no se compara con el final del primero y eso que es el último libro
In the end, I decided to get this series 3 stars.
I mean they weren't great... But E.L James somehow got me to read THREE books... so jokes on me.
This series read like a Twilight fan-fic, which is a concept I don't hate.

So terrible I couldn't even finish. I've stopped trying.
The writing was terrible. Who describes an engagement ring as, "a simple solitaire with claws"?
At first, I went into the book without much hope for it being more than a three star since I rated the other books in the trilogy three stars. I was going to give this book three stars just for the pure fact the beginning of the book was riddled with flashbacks instead of being written in linear (which was a bad decision in my opinion). Other than that, I liked the action in this story. Yeah, the villains' name was uninventive, but if we ignore that I enjoyed the story overall. Much more than the past two.
Definitely my favorite book of the series. I'd live for her to do another that goes back and shows more of Christian's thoughts throughout the series.
