I feel like one helluva champ right now for making it through all this.
Amidst all that is wrong and stupid with these books, it's not the complete lack of plot that pisses me off the most but the little things that could, perhaps, be grudgingly excused in shitty amateur fanfiction but not in a published "novel". You know, like a Latino character using the word "cariña", which doesn't exist, or the fact that the author is under the impression that Versailles is in Côte d'Azur, and that's just the stuff I picked up on. I guess my brain focused on that because everything else is so ridiculous and hilarious that it's beyond my scrutiny.
I'd say I want my dead braincells back but... yah.

The jumps in time and the emails got a bit awkward, and the epilogues were unexpected. But all in all, a good series.
Ana marries Christian Grey, the kinky rich sex dom, and her influence and love provides the stability and love and therapy in just months, that years of real therapy and adoptive family love couldn’t overcome before. Also they have a baby together, after fighting off a crazy stalker.

I was one of the readers that read this series chapter by very long and exciting chapter as a Fanfiction. I immediately bought the books before it was published at a big name printer from its original run. I wanted them because I love the story so much. BUT, I never did read the published version. I did go online and get a list of the fanfiction vs. book character names so I would know who was who in the movie. So now having read Grey, I realize that the published book was strides different that the Fanfiction. The beating scene was very different. He actually did lose himself in a crimson rage and gave he at least 20 lashes before she yelled to stop. There was so much more to the story that I am sad I do not have a copy of the original Fanfiction story. It was way better.
