I was one of the readers that read this series chapter by very long and exciting chapter as a Fanfiction. I immediately bought the books before it was published at a big name printer from its original run. I wanted them because I love the story so much. BUT, I never did read the published version. I did go online and get a list of the fanfiction vs. book character names so I would know who was who in the movie. So now having read Grey, I realize that the published book was strides different that the Fanfiction. The beating scene was very different. He actually did lose himself in a crimson rage and gave he at least 20 lashes before she yelled to stop. There was so much more to the story that I am sad I do not have a copy of the original Fanfiction story. It was way better.

Love it!!!

This was my least favorite of the trilogy. Perhaps I shouldn't have read them all at once, because I caught myself throughout the book thinking, "Okay, enough with the sex already." I found the first book's storyline the most interesting; this one the least.

And (tiny spoiler): I hate when books wrap the ending up so very neatly and tie it with a bow. A nice, happy ending I like (fully aware of the double entendre there); the "let's make sure everyone knows that everything is blissfully perfect from now until forevermore" is irritating.

Not as terrible as the second one. At least there was a little bit of plot.

lol the ending to this one sucked.

this book bored me :/ I expected more, but the writing wasnt very good and the story was slow and boring.

The first 2/3 of the book seemed uninteresting to me and I started to dislike the two main characters. The writing style was inconsistent and awkward, though perhaps slightly better than the first two books. Then came the last 1/3 of the book and suddenly we have action, plot twists, strong characters and emotions, far better writing, and basically a damn good story.
