What an unexpected delight of a book that somehow nailed pithy social commentary about dating and dark bloody serial killer romance.  This book definitely didn’t take itself too seriously, but it was also a fun ride. The FMC in this book was a matchmaker for people that rated a high score for psychopathology on their entry tests for the service.  Can psychopaths fall in love and what that might look like is the central theme of this book played out in several relationships.

This book is crazy but in such a good way! As soon as I read the description I was intrigued, and I knew I wanted to read this book. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. I'm so thankful to have received an ARC of this book. Thank you so much NetGalley, Berkley Publishing Group, and Tasha Coryell. Matchmaking for Psychopaths hooked me from the very first chapter all the way until the last chapter. It has so many twists and turns that I didn't even a little bit see coming that had me so shocked towards the end of the book when everything was revealed. This book is a thriller romance with morally grey characters that is funny at times while also having moments that are creepy and leave you on the edge of your seats. The book also has many reality tv show references that although I might have not seen were still an interesting part of the plot. This is my first Tasha Coryell book, and it definitely be my last. I really recommend this book it's unlike anything I've read before, and I can't wait to see what's next for Tasha Coryell!

I really enjoyed the writing and narrative. However, I had two misgivings.
I don’t understand the attraction to Aidan outside of him knowing her background and backing her unsavory actions. I get that just shared experience and understanding is a strong attraction but personality wise we don’t see what he likes about her or what she likes about him on a day to day basis. Ultimately, Aidan and their relationship feel flat.

The problem I have with the sister twist ending is as follows. If the protagonist’s parents are as prolific of serial killers as to have podcasts based on them, multiple books written, and fans, how is it that it was not uncovered and discussed widely that the mom was previously married to a man who disappeared/died weeks before she married her killing partner. How has no one talked about the daughter she had before? It is not likely that information would remain concealed even if the sister’s identity was protected from the public. That’s a plot hole I can’t get past.

What's up with the thriller releases this year??? Are they all actually predictable or am I a picky bitch 😅
