I’m liking this series a lot, mostly because of the characters. They all have their own quirks and specialties that make up their interesting personalities. Instead of them losing their quirks as the series goes along, they develop new ones and I learn more about them. They also have leaner which is nice to see. I was especially pleased to see how Adam matured and grew. Even the new side characters are all unique and add interesting bits to the story. Greenmantle was not as involved as I had thought he’d be and I expected him to be more of an obstacle than he turned out to be.
I found the beginning slow to catch on, but the fact that it was nicely written was encouraging. The story was not lacking: I liked to see the way it played out and watch the old relationships between the characters change or grow. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be continuing the series.

If the Dream Thieves is where this series hit its stride, this is where the series takes off into a full sprint. Blue Lily, Lily Blue has EVERYTHING (imagine Stefon doing this bit): upped stakes! Mysterious underground caves! Glendower circling so close that you can almost TASTE the resolution! But alas…there’s one more book left in the series…so the quest continues.

seeing some reviews here say that they hated how blue acts in this book/don’t like blue in general is crazy to me. blue is 17 and her mother is missing and she can’t go to a college she wants to go to. i’d crash out too if i was her.
