Beautiful story

I love the story, but the writing is a bit overwrought.

I ever tried to read this book aloud as a bedtime story for my cat back then, but i didn't finish a chapter cause i didn't understand the story. My english wasn't as good as it is now, so maybe that was why.

When i looked at my Librivox, i found an audiobook by Karen Savage and fell in love with her reading at once. Then i decided to give it a try.

I came to a new understanding, by listening (while reading) her soothing yet powerful voice, how the story went. I loved her British and Yorkshire accent, how he read the dialogues, and her singing. I loved everything and it helped me loved the story as well.

I might be as sickly as Colin, spent my days laying down on bed and read my books. Kept thinking about the ail that was never been there. All i needed is a fresh air, just like Colin. Reading the book made me realized how i long to be outside, to feel the sun shines, and feel the springtime. How i wish i were a kid living near the moor and having a big garden i can explore. This book made me feel coming alive, just like Mr. Craven. I hope this magic will never fade. The magic is in me, and it'll make me stronger!

The graphic novel brought back the details I've already forgotten. It such a beautiful story.

*part 2
Spring has come! And the garden is alive! Like Colin, I think I shall live and I surely can live if I have a garden like that. No one can refuse its beauty. This is where I want to be aside from Green Gables!

A nice pleasant read, great for spring. This is a book that reminds you that going outside and touching grass can be nice sometimes (insert commentary about how we're on our phones too much). Might as well be propaganda for your local nursery.
The scope of the story isn't exactly ambitious, or is rather quaint; I didn't know anything about it going in, so I wasn't sure if it was going to stick to realism the whole time or delve into more fantastical elements (spoilers: it is the former). Not to say this is a bad thing, in fact I found the simplicity of the story quite refreshing.
