I think I love this even more as an adult than I did as a child! Beautiful story about the healing powers of nature and our ability to change for the better. I read this with my 10yo son and he loved it too.

El mensaje que deja el libro es muy bueno: cualquier persona será libre y fuerte si no se encierra en sus propios pensamientos. Es algo que te marca, por que hay gente que se cierra y comienza a deteriorarse, pero si disfruta de la vida comienza a renacer.

Hay personajes que me gustan mucho como Mary, Martha, Dickon o la mama de Dickon, y otros menos como Colin.

“Of course there must be lots of Magic in the world," he said wisely one day, "but people don't know what it is like or how to make it. Perhaps the beginning is just to say nice things are going to happen until you make them happen.”

This was the perfect nostalgic, feel good read to get you out of your winter blues. I remember my second grade teacher reading this to us as we were learning about caterpillars turning into butterflies which is so fitting given the character development of Mary and Collin.
