A silly book about a boy who dreams he gets mixed into cake batter and then he pops up to help the bakers bake the cake.
Very strange. I guess I just didn't get it. The child nudity was a little odd.
lighthearted
fast-paced
It was a bizarre little book. That was some dream he had. Very detailed book as well from the 1970's. Of course I don't think my child didn't even notice the detailed naked boy on the pages.

My almost 3 year old daughter is currently obsessed with this book ever since we got it at the library earlier this week. I have to read "the Mickey book" several times a day. I remember my older boys liking it too, but not nearly as much. Perhaps she likes the naked Mickey pictures? :) (She is no stranger to boy parts, having 3 older brothers.)
This was super cute and funny and I laughed so many times. I can totally see why it got banned from some schools. The bits of nudity were alarming but aided in the humour.
The Nephew asked to read this tonight. They found the pictures of the naked boy to giggle and laugh. Still they settled and enjoyed the story.
This reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. There is no plot, only nonsense. It is the perfect story that is like a dream. It's like we get to watch this whacked out dream this little boy is having. There is so little out there like this.
I still love this little story.
