Well I am certainly burning through these! Partially because they're a bit on the short side. I love Jade, but I wish there was less off screen happenings and more on screen. Like with Jade and Alek's relationship, I would have been okay with a slower build throughout the plot but.... The series is still really good and I'm enjoying it

I like the geeky shoutouts. It's still early in the series, but there was a lot of undiscovered stuff about the protagonist revealed in a heavy handed fashion.

My general thoughts about the first 3 books in this series:

The three books in the bundle I got were Justice Calling, Murder of Crows, and Pack of Lies. They're perfectly fine stories, and I enjoyed reading them. There isn't really a system of magic as much as different classes of being having different powers. There's some extra interest and a little moral ambiguity with the main character (Jade) being what she is. The way she gains extra powers is a little unsettling, and may lead to further complications down the line.

The writing is competent and readable. I was drawn along through all the stories quickly. There's not too much romance, which is fine with me, though there is some.

Not sure I'm invested enough in what's going on to continue the series, but if you need a fast read that has some interesting world-building choices, these books are fine.

I liked the book and am going to add the next one in the series to my TBR list.

Still an intriguing series. The main character isn't perfect though she still tries to make the right choices. This time we a given more of a glimpse at her past and where she started from.

I still have issues with this series - but I was looking for a quick and easy read and I knew that this book would provide it. Not sure it was worth the more expensive price on Kindle vs. the first book though. The second installment in the Twenty-Sided Sorceress series is a definite improvement over the first, but I'm still not a fan of how the author is all about getting right to the action and doesn't take the time to make her characters more three-dimensional. It's a shame, because I like so many things about this - it has major potential.

A good book, a great expansion of the Twenty-Sided Sorceress series, and a very interesting story all around.
