• Thoughts:
I liked this book better than the 1st book. I honestly liked Laura and Killian. There was a point of the book where I did get slightly annoyed with the back and forth and her insecurities. It almost feels like this is the authors writing style. Which is 100 percent okay. I just hope that with the next two books, there isn't as much back and forth.
Okay, but for the most part, I did love the angst between the two characters, and honestly, I did enjoy the book. I think it was maybe the last 25 percent that got to me. But it kept me entertained.

Repetitive

While I liked the book it would have rated higher if it wasn't for all the repetitive old information. It also was becoming annoying how hot and cold he was with her.
fast-paced

I wish I loved this one more. I liked it, I ate it all up but something was missing for me. I can’t put my finger on it, but I felt like the story wasn’t complete for me. But I’m slowly becoming a sucker for a cute nickname!!

Lauren promised her best friend, Callie, that she would stay in town but her history with the new MC president, Killian, could make that difficult. During her last visit, the pair had an encounter but things were not left on good terms. Now that Lauren is staying in his apartment and working for the MC, things get a little complicated. Can they avoid each other while living under the same roof or will they be forced to tackle their issues head on?

This pairing had more chemistry and spice compared to the last book. I loved to see those seeds planted in the last book fully bloom in this book. The dual narrators for the audio made the story very enjoyable. My biggest gripe with this story, as with book #1, was the lack of depth in reference to the MC business - although the storyline in this one was better than the first book. The author is very deliberate with setting up the next romantic pairing for the next book and I'm looking forward to seeing where that goes.

A delightful sequel. I thought the nickname of Daisy was cringe though.
