This is honestly my favourite MC era to be in. The love I have for this book and these characters is bigger than any words I could write here. Ashley yet again delivered one beautiful, emotional and raw story, and I devoured it in one sitting.

Killian and Laura met three months ago when she came to Rose Ridge with her best friend, Callie (we meet her in Where We Started) to support her while she was dealing with some personal matters. Both Killian and Laura get instantly intrigued by each other. But Killian's priority is the club, and there's no time to get distracted by the stunning blue-eyed blonde who makes his heart beat just a tiny bit faster.

I was so looking forward to meet Killian, aka The Wolf, but I don't think I was fully prepared to get to know his story. This man... My heart broke for him and I wanted to protect him and shield him from everything he's been through. Right from the start my mind was racing and all I could think was "I love this man." to "He's so mean!" and back to "I love this man!".
Despite what he portrays to the world, this man has one big and kind heart, and all he wants is to protect and keep safe those he cares about.

Laura is such powerful FMC! She's incredibly strong and she doesn't take any bs from anyone. The way this woman handles dangerous situations deserves all the praise. But then deep down Laura is vulnerable and holds her own share of insecurities and fears. She feels so real, and I love her even more for it.

Killian and Laura are just perfect together. The way these two complement each other and just make sense is *chef's kiss*.
The Wolf keeps his heart and feelings guarded and he doesn't let anyone in easily. But Laura is the one woman who is able to dismantle his walls one layer at a time, and he realises that she's IT for him. It's her and only her.
Their connection goes beyond the physical. It's showing their true selves to each other, allowing themselves being vulnerable together, and knowing that no matter what, they'll face everything that's to come side by side. Together.

They love with all their being. They didn't think this kind of love would happen to them, but they were brave to not give up, to fight for it, to embrace it, and to allow themselves to have their HEA.

He's broken and needs the love of a good woman to fix him. My favorite!! A bit darker than book 1, but I'm not complaining. Laura has gumption and is fiercely loyal, and Killian is battling his battling what he think he should do vs what his heart wants. This series is just getting better 🙌

Okay, these two are so cute together. At the beginning of the book, I kept trying to figure out why he was so distant in the present but couldn’t stay away from her in the chapters set three months earlier. But I loved how the story unfolded and everything made sense.

When he texted her to come back to the city and stay, and she came back because of him!!! 🫠
