LOVED Killian and Laura's story so much. I kind of wish it was longer. I wanted more of them together and happy.

This book and this series are just incredible! I honestly did not want this book to end. This is book 2 in the Stone Riders MC series and it follows Killian and Laura. We meet these 2 characters in book 1. Even though these books are interconnected stand-alones I HIGHLY recommend you read book 1, because it's really really good and it gives you some context for Killian, Laura and the Stone Riders MC.

Killian has feelings for Laura but is terrified to act on them, fear of what would happen to him if he falls and terrified of the danger she could be in by being with him. He deals with that by treating her awfully. But he also can’t stay away from her and that leads to some serious angst. I spent most of the first half of the book hating Killian, he would do something mean or say something awful, but then he would be sweet. I went back and forth between wanting to hit him and loving him. I think it is a great skill of Ashley to make me simultaneously hate and love Killian.

For her part, Laura has fallen for Killian, but she believes the things he says and thinks that he doesn’t feel the same. She knows she has let him in and she really hates that she has, she convinced it will only lead to heartache. But Killian's sweetness continues to give her hope. She is also not afraid to push back against him and I loved the times she stood up to him.

I finished this book on Friday and then I kept going back to it to re-read parts, that's how I know that I love a book. It also makes me want to go back and re-read book 1.

Read this if you love:
*angst
*small town
*enemies to lovers
*MC romance
*nicknames (he calls her daisy 🫠)
*it's only you
*he's a cinnamon roll for her
*touch her and ☠️ vibes

This is a motorcycle club romance, but it is not a dark romance. There is talk of violence and some minor violence on page but the majority of the story revolves around the relationship, the found family in the club, and the workings of a motorcycle club.

Laura is a strong FMC and I like how she stood up to Killian. I also enjoyed the suspense in this one! Good MC read. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

I received an arc and this review is my own.
