Sometimes it's nice to remember that the end of civilisation is nothing new.
'I resolved to shun storytelling. I would write about life. Every person would be exactly as important as any other. All facts would also be given equal weightiness. Nothing would be left out. Let the others bring order to chaos. I would bring chaos to order, instead, which I think I have done.'

I really thought I was going to love this book. Although it was meant to be subversive for its time, some of Vonnegut's jokes just don't hold up anymore.

I genuinely think Kurt Vonnegut is a genius. I wish he were alive today to see what he would write about the times we’re in now. What would Vonnegut and his characters do, think, and feel about AI? Such a natural contemporary extension of his musings on man as machine. Also, worth being said that I laughed out loud many times reading this, which I always find a true skill in writing. Definitely want to see the movie adaptation they recently made.

English Review Below.
This my first Vonnegut read, and I can safely say it's NOTHING like anything I've read before. It's extremely unique. We've got a main character that breaks the fourth wall, telling us the story of two very curios men and thier eventual meeting, peppered with random tangents about their lives and the lives of people around them and the universe and eveyrthing really.
One of the things I really loved are the bizarre supposed synopses of the books and stories byt one of the two main characters, I felt like I could read an entire collection of these bizarre sci-fi stories. The events take place in the US, but the description and the setting makes it feel like something in the distant future.
The writing is easy and breezy, it's very humorous and very adult, it's very philosophical and self-concious and sarcastic. I flew through the book and I feel like it'll be something to reread.
