Personally, the book was a tough read. Not in the form of complexity of understanding the story, but more of sitting down and reading more than 10 pages at a time. Personally, I don't think I have matured enough for this book. I say this because this book is not my typical read. I am mostly into fantasy and horror books. Breakfast of Champions was an out of the box experience and since I lack the knowledge in this field I feel that I will have to have another go at it. I have lined up another of this books and hope to get more of an understanding of the world that Vonnegut is painting.

I'm both partly entertained, partly weirded out, but mostly not sure what to make of it, really.

Unsettling, funny, woke. Confusing in that sometimes Vonnegut would make pointed assertions about the absurdities of life and say, racism, yet continued to say things like "Chinamen." In a word: odd.

Another book of wonderful Vonnegut rantings and just a bit of story. The ending was one of my favorites but I can't say that I loved it other than that and the intro.

and this is what it looked like:

3.5 stars. The breaking of the fourth wall by the author and the surprisingly still relevant observations justify bumping it up to 4.

Read this one for a “book club” my mom n i came up with for the year. This was Januarys read. Came away with a confused feeling, which I think is what Vonnegut was going for talking about the ~absurdity of life~.
In any case, even if I missed the overarching theme(s) of the book, it was still enjoyable and funny. I always love the drawings he does. A nice n easier read to get the year started
