I was gripped, the voice of the narrator was so compelling and I love to read a character (person!) who is so real in her voice. I love that she made weird decision and displayed a large spectrum of emotions not often allowed for women. However, especially the portion ‘dependency’ could be super hard to read in points because you watch her life go so wrong.
Graphic: Toxic relationship, Drug use, Addiction, Drug abuse, and Abortion
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Sexual content, Infidelity, Mental illness, Pregnancy, and Terminal illness
Minor: War

True rating: 4.0 -- tove ditlevsen has a really captivating way of writing and this felt much more like fiction than a memoir!
