mysterious

3.5 - I liked it. I didn’t suspect the perpetrator until the big reveal, the poisoning angle was interesting, and it had key features that become trademarks for her later work (crossed paths, intermingling clues & relationships, Poirot’s methodologies, etc.).

It is evident that this is her first novel however, as I felt it was a bit clunky at times compared to later books. Overall though, it was enjoyable.

It's hard to enjoy a Christie after watching Saltburn.

I loved this as an intro book for Hercule poirot. It was a good mystery with a good setting.

Despite having read this before 2 years ago, I fully forgot who did it! Agatha Christie starts off her Poirot series with such a fun one, I’m so excited to read through the rest of ‘em!
