I enjoyed this book so much more than the first one! There is again a no plot just vibes feel to it in that it’s a very slow moving plot considering the whole book only takes place within a couple days at most, yet there was more substance this time around. I loved getting more character depth for Cyrus but wished we got to see more of the world and got a better understanding of Tulan, and more of Cyrus’s backstory. I hope the next instalment adds a bit more action with Kamran and Cyrus and we finally get to know what deal with the devil was made that kick started this whole journey!

The first one was enjoyable, maybe because I read it in an illumicrate read along and all the comments made me appreciate it a bit more. Now, reading this alone I had to roll my eyes a few times at how incredibly dramatic all the characters, specially the boys are. I laughed out loud a few times as well. But anyway, I feel Tahere's strenghts are the endings because she always leaves me wanting to know more and can't stop at that point. She has a few twists and turns and cliffhangers all through the book too, that are well done.
