This was, in my opinion, a great young adult book. There was a bit of cursing though. It's not an easy book to read....both the main protagonists have cancer, and there were a lot of parts through out where I felt sad for them. But interwoven with that is a message of hope, and endurance, and love. It's a very well written book and it kept me intrigued so well that I was rushing to read it because I had to know how it ended as soon as possible.
Don't get me wrong, I liked this book. However, it wasn't something I would normally gravitate towards. I received this from a book exchange at my school's book club right before summer vacation and I finished it so quickly (lol). Buuut again, not something I would read on a normal basis. Asides from that, it drew alot of parallels from another book that I unfortunately cannot remember the title of (it'll come to me sooner or later!) and the story wasn't very impactful, I easily forgot what happened in this book after a few days. Something just felt missing y'know? :(
but this may be a really good for someone else so I would try this book out nevertheless if I were you (addressed to all passersby).

I liked this book. I was reading a bunch of reviews and people comparing to TFIOS, but I didn't think it was anything like that. This is more of a friendship, not a romance. And the time period is completely off, kind of showing life outside of the cancer world. I mean, it does lack that sense of intensity that you do from TFIOS, but I don't think that's what the author was going for. I liked it, and would recommend it.
I enjoyed this book...really I did. But I have heard it described as Eleanor & Park meets The Fault In Our Stars..and that is exactly what it felt like. It was like "hey, I've been here before, but I like it here so it is ok".
I really enjoyed this one! A well written story about two teenagers with cancer, who end up in neighboring rooms at the hospital. They connect through taps on the thin wall that separates them. This was a heartfelt story about friendship and overcoming the insurmountable.
I really enjoyed Mia’s character progression. Her POV often made me a little mad but I think that’s the point, because she’s so angry about her circumstances that it comes through in the writing. Zac & Mia’s unlikely friendship was unlike any book I’ve read, but I really enjoyed it!
