It is crazy to look back and realize I first read this when I was 10 years old. A 30th Anniversary Edition was the perfect excuse to reread one of my favorite Sci-Fi stories. This work does such a fantastic job of taking the properties from two acclaimed franchises and put them together into a new, fresh story. The tropes in here seem over-trod because they have become so. The isolation, the fear, the allyship of unaligned pieces of a violent conflict; they all shine here in fantastic, well-considered writing. I will continue to come back to this every few years.

This is what all the Alien vs Predator movies should have been. We get insight into predator culture, symbolism about man's reliance on technology, and good solid action.
Great story. Great art.
