If you read book one, Matched with her Runaway Groom, this is an excellent follow up! If you haven't read book one, you can jump into the series with Matched with her Fake Fiancé. I loved hearing Dani's story after a glimpse of her in Runaway Groom. It's so cute! I am looking forward to more stories in Mills' Romance by Love, Austen series.

Reviewed from an eArc. Thank you, Britney!

This was so cute! And not even in the like too over the top cheesy cute sort of way. Cute in the young love conquers all. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I loved Dani’s fun personality. Miles was dreamy. Like I need a Miles in my life, haha.
I think in a lot of fake dating books there’s too much “oh I’m not supposed to like that so I’m going to push away and then feel guilty” sort of things happening but that wasn’t the case here which I appreciated. Great buildup and ending!
This is a fun and entertaining read that you’ll definitely want to add to your list!

Dani just finished college and is trying to be an adult. It’s hard and the dating scene is even worse. When a famous Boston bachelor asks her to be his fake date for the season, she decides to say yes. It works out in the movies. But when she starts to catch feelings, things get more complicated. Does he return her feelings or is she going to get her heartbroken all over again?

This book was so fun. I really enjoyed the moments Miles and Dani spent together. I like Dani’s growth through out the book and I love all the side characters. Miles is so sweet and gentlemen. Love that! And I love Dani’s personality and her willingness to be there for Miles. All in all, a fun read with funny moments, some pining for the fake relationship to be real (done well), and a happily ever after.

This book is coming out June 22, 2022. I received an eARC from the author. All the opinions stated are my own.

Reader’s Notes:

– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone

– this is told from Dani and Miles’s points of view

Review:

I loved Dani and Miles (but especially Miles)! I enjoyed reading their meet cute scene and how they both reacted to the situation(s) thrown at them. I loved seeing inside both their heads and what they were thinking about everything. I found Miles’s friends to be very funny in how they would test Miles’s feelings for Dani (or just tease him about them). I loved seeing Miles dote on Dani and that Dani wasn’t quick to accept everything he was freely giving her as it made her more relatable to me. Some of my favorite scenes included: Dr. Pepper, clothes fitting, meeting Oliver, and the hockey game.

Dani is not having a good start to post-college life. First, her boyfriend of five years broke things off with her when she was expecting an engagement ring. Any other guy she has dated since either was not the one for her or a major dud. And now work is putting a ton of pressure on her for an upcoming event. The only highlight in her life (besides her best friends/roommates) is meeting Miles on her most recent failed date.

Miles does not want to be set up on dates with his mother anymore. She tries controlling him in all aspects in his life and now he’s ready to put his foot down. Though he isn’t ready to seriously date, he decides to ask the girl he recently met if she’d be willing to fake date him and attend some events to keep unwanted women away. When Dani agrees, he finds it hard not to fall for her after a few dates and stick to the rules they set.

Can he convince Dani that they could be more before the term of the fake relationship comes?

So sweet and fun! Loved this combo of tropes and characters!

Wow! Britney really knows how to write characters who grow emotionally. This book was amazing! I loved the funny moments, the sweet ones, the hard emotional growth the two went through, and of course the HEA ❤️

I really enjoyed our FMC who was there for our MMC as he learned to go through the roller coaster of emotions and issues he grew from. I also loved how he was strong when she was weak.

This story was just so sweet and I loved all of the fun points in it.

Matched With Her Fake Fiance by Britney M. Mills is the second book in the Romance by Love, Austen series. I loved every minute of this book and it was so fun to read. It is a fast-paced closed-door rom-com with a fake dating troupe. This book is told by 2 POVs, Dani Higgins, and Miles Clark. Dani's life has been one change after another in the 6 months since she graduated college. She broke up with her long-time boyfriend after finding out he was cheating. Miles is an attractive rich bachelor who is tired of his mother setting him up. His friends talk him into finding a fake girlfriend for the upcoming event season. He meets Dani & suggests a partnership with her becoming his fake girlfriend to get his mother off his back. I loved Dani in Matched With Her Runaway Groom & am so happy the second book features her. She is such a fun and likable character. I love the playfulness of her face relationship with Miles and Miles is just a genuine person. They are the perfect match. I cannot wait to read the third book in the series.
