I grew up watching the movie and never knew there was a book. Reading the book made me love this story even more and I appreciate how closely both medias are intertwined. If you love unicorns and adventure this is the one for you!

I’ve always had such a deep love for unicorns and this book really brought it to life again. An emotional, beautifully written story. Not for everyone and I can see why with the riddles and songs and fairy tale tropes, but it was definitely for me

Absolutely amazing, as always. I read an interview with him talking somewhat arrogantly about the writing of this book - something to the effect of "if I want to read something good, I have to write it myself" - but I can forgive him the arrogance when the end result is this.
