For me this was not that hot or steamy. I found the chemistry between Charlotte and Spencer to be rather lukewarm. The plot was an average fake-engagement-turned-real with out any surprises.
The story is told from Spencer's POV and personally I have a hard time with characters that bangs their own drum the way Spencer does. It got a bit better in the end, but by then it was too late for redemption.
I guess the book was not all bad, but not my cup of tea.

Okay, this was fun to read and overall enjoyable, I loved the fact that there wasn't anything problematic about it and the family relationship was nice to read.
With that being said, books from a female author that is only from the hero's pov is incredibly frustrating most of the time, this being one of those times. The book literally starts with the guy talking about how perfect his cock is, I mean seriously? And there are a lot of times that he just mentions how he he's a perfect specimen that god sent to earth. I mean I get it, you want to be clear that the guy is hot but dude limits.
Charlotte was amazing though, and I do want to read the next book about Nick and Harper so it wasn't a waste of time.

Each time I read a romance with a great amount of humor, I come to the conclusion that I'm not really down for it. It's not that I can't appreciate comedy, but I really feel it has no place in my romance. I am a lover of all things dark and angsty, so I may even laugh a bit, but ultimately I'll think it's too much and I'll be bored. That's what happened here.
Also, I didn't like there was barely a plot besides the hero's fixation with his own dick and sex in general. Moreover, all the characters seemed incredibly childish, even the parents. And finally, I really disliked how quickly things turned sexual. You would have thought that being best friends for years the stakes would be a lot higher and things would move a lot slower.

More like 3.5/5 stars.
It was good and steamy, but nothing extraordinary. I like it overall, but I don't love it. I am, however, looking forward to reading Mister O.

funny
lighthearted

Meh. The middle third is ok

I loved this book!!!! I loved that it was in the male's POV. Spencer was sweet and hot at the same time. I think I found myself another go to author!!!
4 stars!
No casting since I don't really know how Spencer looks like...I don't think he described himself really besides his nether regions! LOL

I really needed a good book after that horror I read a couple days back! I was so happy I chose a winner!!!
We start off with Spencer who needs to pretend he is this picture perfect image of a wealthy man's son. He needs his friend, Charlotte to pretend to be his fiancé so that his father can get this deal to sell their jewelry business. So Charlotte and Spencer come up with a few ground rules until they both decide they want more.
One thing I found a little "eh" was that this book felt really cookie cutter perfect. They were both miraculously on the same page and there wasn't really a conflict. I guess it could be because they were best friends since college and they finish each other sentences but I dunno, I wanted more!!
I really enjoyed this book! It was funny and well paced. I found myself looking forward to spending time with this book. It was a really light read and I can't wait to read the next one with Nick and Harper!

Much sweeter than the risque cover and title would lead you to believe ;)
Big Rock was cheesy (and hot) as hell. I was looking for something light and fun, and this one definitely delivered.
I'm not usually a huge fan of friends-to-lovers stories, but I actually really enjoyed Spencer and Charlotte. It actually felt like they were falling for each other and genuinely building on their friendship. They had great chemistry and banter, and were perfect together.
It was a bit over the top, and the plot was quite simple and straight forward, but there wasn't a ton of angst and I had a lot of fun reading this!
