The title has nothing to do with the book (it’s late winter/spring). Endearing characters, though—including an ornithologist!
Good story, pilot Morag had an accident which killed another pilot so she went home and visited her family, which has a small airline for flights between small islands. She strands on one island and the only person who lives there is Gregor an ornithologist. They get to know each other better, since it takes a couple days until the ferry picks up Morag. During that time she understands that she doesn’t really like her boyfriend who is probably also cheating on her and that she wants to fly again but not for a big airline. So when she gets back on land she takes over the flights for the islands and she comes back to Gregor but not so emotional and deep

Jenny Colgan writes sweet, slightly formulaic books set in Scotland that are comforting and cozy. However, her vocabulary is weirdly limited and when you listen to her on audiobook, you realize that if you edited out the word absolutely, the book would be about 39 pages shorter. I wish I had a tool for counting incidences of words in her books because it's laughable.
Still charming.

Not the best I’ve read of Jenny’s books but still an enjoyable read
