The whole set was free on Amazon and I still want a refund. I didn’t make it past the first story/novella. There were typos and spelling errors, but that’s not where this sunk to one star.

I’m not slut shaming for one-night-stands/sex on the first date ~ but FFS no condoms, no talk of birth control. Not even an attempt at safe sex in any way. it wasn’t sexy. It was nauseating.

It also wasn’t funny. The jokes were flat. The internal dialogue was cringe-worthy. Dylan’s practically dreaming out their whole relationship and thinking he’s in love in between bouts of not being able to make basic conversation with her.

If these guys manage to make it to a second date it should be to the local clinic to get some basic sex Ed and condoms.

Also, if the plot is going to be this weak ~ then the writing of the sex scenes better be damn good. And they weren’t. Not only is language not at all romantic or sexy or erotic ~ but we have no idea what’s going on. They change positions in the middle of a paragraph without any writing of how they got there. One sentence she’s riding him and the next he’s behind her and she talking about fluids gushing. It sounded like the description of a toilet backing up.

Her First Billionaire is about a curvy girl with dating issues and a firefighter just turned billionaire.
I thought this was a different kind of book. Not interesting enough to compel me to buy the rest of the series.

I absolutely love any time there’s a fuller figured heroine in a story. Throw in a billionaire who is really just a blue collar guy who recently inherited the money? Double bonus for me. I was very excited about the premise of this story but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. This story wasn’t actually a complete novella, it reads more like a serial. There was no conflict resolution by the end and it leaves the reader wanting more. I have no issues with serials but I wish I knew prior to reading that there would be more coming. Also, it felt like some things were skipped over. When we got to the smexy times between Laura and Dylan I kept having to reread passages because I couldn’t figure out how/when something happened. Wait, they’re naked now? How did they get that way? There was a teaser included for the second story which I appreciated but I’m not sure if I’ll continue with this story.

This is a really, really short read (it's a novella, duh) which didn't even take that long to finish. In fact, I am well over half of the last installment in the series.

Anyhow, I think Her First Billionaire is the kind of book where everything is too good to be true. We have the ever luscious Laura who snagged herself a billionaire on a dating site. Actually, I don't need to sum up the plot because everything is in the summary itself. All you have to do is read, and anticipate how it goes. The ending didn't even come as a surprise because I had read the synopsis of the whole series (LOL).

The story is full of sexy scenes, I admit, but it is also a bit humorous, which made it bearable because things got a little too hot the moment Laura finally meet up with Dylan.

There wasn't much to say for this novella, but I did enjoy it. So 4 stars for Her First Billionaire

So this book was okay but it was a novella and the rest in the series are too and too expensive for me to get if they are only 70 pages.

I bought this book as a free book on amazon on 7 June 2013.

Thinking that I should read some of the thousand plus books I downloaded, this was one of the first ones I read.

Based on the description of the book, I thought it would be somewhat funny. After all, you have Laura, a full-figured woman who is seemingly secure in her body searching online for a date. Can she find him?

Little did I look and realise it is a novella, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I think had it been more fleshed out it could possibly be better.

Not only did I not find it amusing at all. But I find it hard to believe that Dylan, would be instantly attracted to her. That's not to say that she's not attractive but that despite him having gone on previous dates that didn't go well (only description is the "jersey shore" types) why would he be instantly attracted to her. Nothing in his history that we've been told suggests that he finds full-figured women as attractive as their more slender counterparts.

For a novella, I did enjoy this novel, however I didn't enjoy it enough to want to pay for the second installment in this series. Had it been better fleshed out in some areas I would certainly give it more than 2 stars.

NB: There are a couple of typos in the copy I read.

I need to stop being enticed by the word ‘free’. Whilst free is not a synonym of bad, if I had read the reviews I would not have been so disappointed by what I was reading.

Honestly, I’m not sure what to write in this review. There really wasn’t much to the story. I understand that it is the first of many parts – and it does set up for the rest of the story – but outside of that, I cannot think of anything.

I didn’t particularly enjoy any of the characters. The self-deprecating ways of the main character were totally at odds with her behaviour. She was a bunch of clichés that exist to make women feel as though they can get any man they want. Our male was another cliché. He lacked in any real substance. There was the possibility of some real story in regards to where the money came from… yet that was pushed aside so that we could focus upon the down and dirty.

All in all, this highlighted how I should read reviews rather than clicking the buy button when I see the word free. At least it was only a handful of pages (even if it did feel like much more, my eyes constantly drifting to the percentage read and asking how I wasn’t closer to the end).

Erotic novels seldom satisfy. So is this one.
