I loved both characters individually as well as together. I enjoyed the bits of the other couples coming and going and relating to the previous book's timelines.
I wish there was more outward dialogue better Lachlan and Fionn.
Only knocking one star simply because I didn't find myself genuinely laughing in this book. Some of the laughing points and shock value bits seemed a little contrived? That may have been because now in the third book, I got a taste for Brynne's style.

Love this series!

This is the best balance of unhinged, funny and spicy. I'm doing things all backwards since I have read and enjoyed book 2 and 3 but have yet to read book 1, so off I go to see how this all started.

Amazing narration by these two, that really helps to make this book more palatable during the gruesome/unhinged bits lol

The perfect end to one of my favorite book series of all time. These characters and stories are like a warm cup of Mexican Hot Chocolate, a tad spicy and yet so comforting. I'm so sad the series is over but I will be re-reading for years to come. "I'm not letting go." 🧡🖤

Rose Evans wants to be a modern day Giulia Tofana, a woman who does not want abusers to get away with their behaviour and free women of their captors.

She might be a sparrow with a broken wing, but that doesn’t stop her in helping others. Rose is not the type of woman to stop at a dead end and give up, she finds a new route, even if it makes getting somewhere more difficult.

Rose is quick witted but references the circus often, which means her jokes don’t always land.

Doctor Fionn Kane is afraid of himself and lives a life alone, barely living. Rose stumbles into his life and shows him how to live life outside of his home and office. She breathes life into him.

He sees her and isn’t afraid of what she does. The way this man describes Rose is attractive. He sees her strength but is still protective of her and wants to see her thrive.

He makes mistakes along the way and forgets that it’s okay to stumble, but eventually, he figures out how to make it up to Rose. He shows her exactly how he feels.

No notes, just praise. This was funny and dark. Rose and Fionn make sense together, I love how everyone sees it. They are two people who show each other that a weakness can be a strength hidden in plain sight.

I wasn’t expecting to bawl my eyes out several times near the end. I knew everything was going to be okay, but STILL! The letters were so heart wrenching, I felt those words in my soul. I think this one is my favourite out of the entire series. This one hit home for me in many ways.

Would I read this again? Yes.

Move over Rowan, Fionn has just taken over as the best Kane brother (Lachlan never had a chance, sorry budget Batman).

I absolutely loved Fionn and Rose’s story! She is such a chaotic character and Fionn is just the calm that everyone needs. And the epilogue really has me hopeful of more stories like this by Brynne Weaver!

I am pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this after L&L. But S&S really lives up to B&B!

Book 3! I both was so excited for this audiobook to drop and so not ready for it to end and say goodbye to this group of characters. This book focuses on Dr. Fionn Kane and getting to find out how he met Rose Evans. The circus performer no one quite knew why she was at the good doctor’s house. Parts from the first two books will be revisited, and that feels like a warm hug to me. Especially the sleepless night. IYKYK Once again, read those trigger warnings. If you are grabbing the audiobook, listen to those trigger warnings. Never have I laughed so hard at TWs!

You will meet some of my favorite side characters: The Sutcher Sisters and Barbara

This one feels a bit more difficult to talk about without hitting spoilers. The building tension between these two will have you feel like you are a part of it. I love the incorporation of tarot. As with the other books, you will laugh, kick your feet with excitement, hold your breath in fear, and will be absolutely infuriated with a character from past books for what this person pulls. The spice is there when it is there, and full of fire.

Favorite Quotes:
“Do you know how hard it is to get a cocaine addicted raccoon out of a ventilation system? It’s fking hard!”

“Dr. McSpicy Beastmode”

The entire pattern discussion…you’ll know what you get there. I can’t put it all in here.

Once again, Samantha Brentmoor and Eric Nolan did a phenomenal job with narration. The way they both covered multiple character voices felt like there was entire cast of narrators.

I loved the relationship between Rose and Fionn! Their banter was so great! I enjoyed the suture sisters, they were so funny! There was definitely a lot of spicy scenes, so if you are interested in using cotton candy during sex, then this book is for you. So many good quotes and the love between them was so sweet. I really loved that the previous characters came back into the story throughout the book. It was nice to see how they were doing and the different POVs. This book had dual POVs, which helped show the true feeling of the characters.  I hope you love it when you read it.

The audiobook was great, but this final book to the Ruinous Love trilogy fell quite flat for me. I'm glad I read it, but also really glad that the trilogy is over. The audiobook was great; I loved the narrators. It was fun, but not as fun as the 1st two books.

Out of all the FMC's, I liked Rose the least. She was chaotic, impulsive, and repeatedly put Fionn in positions where he felt compelled to clean up her messes. I liked Fionn, he was sweet and I liked his inner battle stuff, as well as the relationship with his brothers. But found myself getting annoyed with Rose for her vengeance-without-a-plan attitude.

I did enjoy them all becoming friends in this book -- it was a nice touch and it made me happy.
