Very cringe. Definitely made for younger audience. Didn’t live up to the hype at all.
I loved this book!! I’ve read reviews about being disappointed the story only happened within 24 hours but that’s what made me love it. The book was narrated from Rowan’s pov; and from the beginning, it was established that she only saw Neil as a rival, nothing more. So, if the story started earlier or ended after the summer, it would have probably felt dragged out in my opinion.

AAAAAHHHHH can i just say how cute that nickname is !? EVERYTIME NEIL SAYS IT, I CAN IMAGINE HIS NERDY SOFT FACE AND JSHJWHSJAKASJJSHA nakakakilig ok ?! Sorry i am a sucker for cute nerdy guys hahaha AND HE'S SO SWEET RIN HA.
I love love him ?! NAKAKAINIS he's so arghhhh !! tapos everytime he says "artoo" talaga tiklop na agad ako eh hahaha. Not to mention na he's family oriented, very smart, and sooo gentle kay Rowan. LIKE don't get me started sa confession na sinulat niya sa yearbook ni Rowan, LIKE THAT WAS SO SWEET.
It took me 4 days to finish this book kasi i had a hard time (tinatamad) reading it kasi nga, tinatamad hahaha. The first 3 days of reading this, wala pa sa 50% yung nabasa ko pero sa 4th day ko tinapos ko lahat NSHWJSHSHSBSJ
I really want to finish it na rin lalo na school is starting very very soon, and things get pretty interesting sa mga 100+ page mark. Speaking of interesting, i really like the pace of this book hehehe. It took place in a single day pero at the same time hindi super bilis 'yung mga ganap.
I wish i got to see more of their dating life kaya I'm excited to read the next book hehehe !!
ANYWAY it's a good read, you'll love reading this if:
- you like a good academic rival trope
- you like a fun rom-com yet emotional quick-read
- you wanna feel the nostalgia of highschool
- you're a sucker for a cute nerdy MMC

Not much to say about this book. It was pretty good, but it got way better towards the end. Super cute ending, and I love the healthy relationship vibes. I also love the representation, and relate to Rowan a lot.

OH MY GOOOOODDDDDDD this book made me ACHE. i felt it. it was so real the whole time. i miss high school relationships. but i’m literally rowan like the author wrote her about me i’m sure of it.
