This book was literally the biggest epilogue I've ever read ! It was so amazing to be with the characters again ! I laughed a lot, I'm really happy right now ! I think Michael and Mia have been one of my first OTPs so it was awesome to see them get married (and everything else ;) ). There was so much going on in this book, and it gave me the feeling that the circle was complete. I'm so happy Meg Cabot wrote this book, even if I'm really sad to say goodbye again to this book series.

This made me so happy I could cry

ALSO: mia and michael would be watching the new Star Wars right now. my little nerds

It was during my mid terms when I first found about this book and I was like "whaaaat? Why didn't I hear about it?" And I got home and got a hold of a copy!
Meg Cabot rarely disappoints and The Royal Wedding is just another example of it. I loved every bit of it.
With every line I read I fell in love with Michael all over again. He is every bit of perfect for Mia. And oh, Mia. She is witty, and sassy and amazing.
I was smiling and laughing throughout the whole book. And when I found out about the twins!
The only disappointment: Meg Cabot did not release the names!!!

This book is fabulous! Not only is it great to hear Mia's voice again, but to have it updated to 2015, with a 26 year old Mia is just so fantastic. Mia us now my age and although I can't relate to the pressures of Princessdom, I can relate to Wedding planning at least!
It is wonderful to catch up with all of the characters and to meet the new ones -Olivia is just darling and I can foresee diaries from her point of view on the horizon!
This book is everything fans of the series have dreamed of and is appropriately adult but retains the nostalgia for the original teen books.
Also, I finished this book on the same date that the story ends - how interesting!

The diary layout is something that I could appreciate. Instead of chapters we have diary entries. The candid voice lead something to the main character and made it easier to connect to her. What this diary layout failed to do was lend details to really make the book come to life. There is a fine line to walk in keeping with realistic diary entries and still adding the details so that one can visualize the story and really become immersed. One example is the wedding dress. There is a surprising lack of details in what the gowns look like. We do however get a drawn picture of the wedding invitation. With this lack of detail the story just falls flat.

The story altogether seemed rushed. It all just felt like a half-baked, rushed attempt to monopolize on the series.

The final aspect I noticed, and actually really appreciated, was how she tied in this book with one of her other series. Quite seamlessly and with a series that I recently finished and enjoyed for the most part. Seeing little details like that help to make the worlds seem a little more real.

Having read the Princess Diaries series, I was really excited to dive into this book. Mia has long been a favorite character of mine. I couldn’t wait to see where this story took her journey. The story was sweet, charming, and heartfelt. It had me laughing, crying, and sighing. Once I got into the book, I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to know what happened next and next and next until I got to the end of the book. I loved Mia’s adult persona/character from the very beginning. She was very real and understandable.
Mia and Michael’s love story was so beautiful. They are relationship goals in my mind. I’m so glad Michael was the one for her. The storyline was surprising and kept me guessing. It was also very descriptive and detailed. I felt like I was seeing the story through Mia’s eyes. I felt the ending was just right. It brought Mia’s story to a fulfilling and final ending. I was happy with where her life was at when the book ended.

It's over. I can't believe it's over! Mia has become one of my favorite characters of all time, and she matured so much from this book to the last book in the original series. I just love her and Michael and I can't believe there isn't another book in this series that I can devour. I will forever love the princess diary series!!!!!

I've decided that I need light, fluffy audio books that don't require much thinking on my part, otherwise I can't focus and follow the story while driving or doing other things. So when I found out there was a new novel in the Princess Diaries series, I knew it would be a perfect audio book. And it was still fun and entertaining, just like the original series, though for an older audience now. There weren't major details or anything, but Mia's 25 now and open about her sex life.

So fun to return back to this series! My only complaint is that Cabot packed a lot into this book, and I wish she had spread it out into another book.
