I have already seen and loved the TV show and after getting into this, I just want to watch the TV show again instead of reading this. I feel like this is a format that will work better for me as a show, especially because I already know the story and remember where it ends up

I did watch Broadchurch and I really like it so I was happy to review this book.

I really enjoy this book and even though I already knew what was going to happen it kept me reading and I was hooked on this book and couldn't stop reading. It is very well written and I think if you like crime drama you will love this book.

I give this 5 out of 5

Well - that was one heck of any ending! I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I will say I did not see it coming. Author Erin Kelly threw out plenty of red herrings to keep the reader guessing and forming theories about who killed 11-year-old Danny Latimer. The mix of characters was interesting, and the setting of the small, tightly knit English seaside town added to the intensity of the drama. The rivalry between Ellie Miller and the new mysteriously flawed detective Alec Hardy added to the plot. A good mystery!

3.5 stars because it was literally a copy paste of the script.....

The show was great don't get me wrong, but if I wanted to rewatch it I'd rewatch it. Or read the actual script.

Also fuck Joe Miller. He literally worsened my trust issues!

Also the reading group notes??? Question 1:
"Given the dramatic revelations with in the novel, do you think it's ever possible to truly know the person you're married to?" N O P E BYE!!!

I've never been into mysteries but I decided maybe a good one would make for a good listen as an audio book, and this one did not disappoint. Very well written and an intriguing, though very sad, story.

A long time ago I've seen a few episodes of the serie but I never finished it, but then I saw this book in de library for sale for maybe 33 cents total. So I decided to read it instead. It's not the best crime novel I've ever read in my life and the middle of the book was quite boring, but the last 150 pages made up for it. So 3.5/5 in the end.
