This is the first book I have read by C.J. Cooke and it definitely won’t be the last! I loved her writing style and switching from 2024 to 1594. The Book of Witching explores the burning of witches and how people can be influenced to believe witches existed.

I love the different view points. Clem and Allison were a lot alike in that they wanted to protect their children and ensure that they were safe. Clem has to piece together the events that let to the horrific fire and works feverishly to ensure that Erin is able to survive and be there for her own daughter. Allison is trying to convince the Bishops that she is not a witch, while also trying to ensure that her children are hurt.

This book kept me on my toes and I did not want to put it down! It is definitely worth the read!
