I listened to this on audio book (narrated by Patrick Stewart) which was awesome. Interesting to see how much is typically left out of movies.

With all of the adaptations for screen and stage, I feel like I had actually already read this word for word (although I now realize there were a few scenes that I wasn't familiar with). Which is great, surprisingly I quite enjoy Dickens' wordiness, which is out of character for me. I'm intrigued to read his 4 additional Christmas stories now. I spent more time reading the intro of this version, working out all kinds of financial conversions, and looking at the manuscript photos, than actually reading/listening.

This Audible rendition of Dicken's A Christmas Carol is one of the best pairings of a book with a narrator that I have ever heard. Tim Curry is the obvious choice to read Dickens. With his characteristic voice and acting skill, he has mastered the tale, bringing the players to life in living color. I thoroughly enjoyed every last second of this audiobook.

After reading David Copperfield I can say I was surprised by this, it just was not near on the same level. Oh well, at least I have another Dickens under my belt.

Absolutely a warm and fuzzy for me. If you don't feel better about life after you read this book - I don't know, Scrooge! I found through his short biography at the end that he wrote other Christmas stories. I am definitely going to look up some of those.
