A cozy Christmas novel. I'm not sure if ever really snows in Edinburgh, but the scenery felt very cosy. And made me want to walk around in the snow and drink loads of hot chocolate.

The story is a bit too much for me. Some things simply didn't make any sense.

Overall, all Jenny Colgans novels have more or less the same plot. There's obviously nothing wrong with that, but it does get a bit boring after a while.

The love triangle was a bit tiresome and there were some other bits thrown in that didn’t seem fully developed BUT the epilogue is the reason for rounding up to 4 stars. So dang touching.

The book took a little to get into but I loved the descriptions of the bookshop, the community and Edinburgh. It ended up being just a nice Christmas read.

I love Jenny Colgan’s stories. This one was perfect to end 2021 with and bonus the holiday theme.
