Jenny Colgan is such a reliable storyteller when it comes to delightful secondary characters and a plot drenched in all things books and reading. Carmen’s development and growth as a human through this sweet novel was a joy to behold. A perfect holiday novel for book lovers.

This was such a delightful read. Full of an array of interesting characters, holiday magic, humour and a sweet romance without all the cheesiness that you find in some books, this is perfect for this time of year or if you're in the mood for something cozy. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author. I really enjoyed her writing style.

Really enjoyed the main characters and her struggle. Was especially happy how she bonded with Pheobe because from the writing it was sort of a two peas in one pot sort of situation.
And I mean any book that plays in Edinbrugh is instant bonus point for me, and than revamping and saving a bookshop like hello.

This was actually super cute. I got it from Kindle Unlimited and was mostly drawn by the Edinburgh setting (my favorite city thus far) and general seasonal coziness. Was not disappointed and started the second one immediately.
