Cute little christmas story. My favorite part was the characters and the complexities of their lives made this an easy, quick read.
Aside from the many uses of "beautiful" (83), "amazing" (58), and "darling" (31) descriptors, this was a nice little feel-good book to read at Christmas time.
I listened to the audiobook and I'm glad I did because the reader, Eilidh Beaton was fantastic. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much in print.
The main character Carmen, reminds me of Becka Garvey from the show Bad Sisters.

I’ve tried to read this twice. I usually enjoy Jenny Colgan books. I am disappointed with this one every time. The arguing and contention isn’t my idea of a cozy book.
