Surprisingly poignant. Amy Schumer told stories that young women need to hear and I found myself liking her even more for it.

I read a lot of celebrity memoirs and this one is certainly the funniest I've ever read.  While Amy employs her sense of humor throughout the book she also lets us inside her struggles in life and the road to success.  Her book is both poignant and funny--a rare combination.  I highly recommend this book to anyone who's interested in reading celebrity memoirs.

I was surprised that I actually liked this book. Sometimes Amy Shumer crosses lines that make me cringe with her comedy. But, for me, this book allowed her to gain credibility in my eyes.

The book was absolutely hilarious and so far is my favorite memoir.

Schumer is known as a joke their and it’s trendy to hate her. One anecdote about the “Irish Exist” was oddly family to Mindy Kailing’s in her book, which stuck out to me because I know she’s called a “joke thief” often.

Despite this, I have only good things to say about this book. It was funny and honest.

Never thought this book would bring me to tears, but it did. Reading about how the shooting at a showing of Trainwreck impacted Amy and made her get involved in gun safety (a cause I'm involved in as well) completely left me crying. I enjoyed this book and getting to know a bit more about her and her life. Don't go into this book thinking it is a laugh on every page - it isn't. But it is a good read with laughs, and in my case at least, so tears. Would recommend.
