It wasn't as good as the previous books in my opinion. I don't think Claudia interested me enough as a protagonist. I really liked Lucas but I don't know how I feel about the insta love. I think I struggled with the characters, plot and story execution. It was ok but not the best.

2.2 out of 5 rating for me!

The only word I have for this book is WOW! The Alpha girl series is easily my favourite YA series this 2015 and as the story goes on it just keeps getting better and better. i am sad I have to wait until September for the last book in the series.
But I absolutely loved the book, the story flowed very nicely, a bit on the predictable side when it came to Cloud and Lucas but I like the way their own story came together in the end.
If ou haven't read any of the books I suggest you get started now!

EVERY WOFF-WOFF IN THIS SERIES IS PRECIOUS XD

ok... Claudia maybe indeed stronger than Tessa and maybe can actually be a coven leader
to put it simply...
SHE TRAVELLED TO PERU, FOUGHT MEGAS AND VAMPIRES, WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE LIFE OF HER TWIN, WAS SO COOL WITH THE DOUSH WHO WANTED TO MARRY HER FOR HER POWERS, WAS SO POLITE THROUGH ALL OF THAT
WHILE NOT HAVING A SINGLE GOOD NIGHT SLEEP FOR DAYS!!
lord, bless her
lord bless good old Lucas
it was so funny when he said that destien was young so he couldn't resist biting his mate, but I`m older
like heyyy desty is in his fifties and I`M TEN TIMES HIS AGE WHAT`YA TAKING ME FOR! I CAN WAIT FOR DA COOKY XXD

she deserves the best... namely him
their romance I`d die for

So I didn't realize upon purchase that this is about Claudia and not Tessa as the main character. At first I was a bit annoyed but this book really helped to make Claudia a real character rather than just a background decoration in Tessa's story. It was a good fun book. I was sad when I finished to find out I have to wait until the end of the month for the next book in the series. I also really like the diversity, so few urban fantasy and paranormal romance have characters that aren't boring European.

I loved this book a lot. I think that it was great to know Claudia better and I loved Lucas. They're relationship is so sweet. Im hoping to get more in them in Alpha Unleashed.

I received this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
It was a good one. Good plot and nice suspense. What I didn't like was Claudia. She was an irritating, "oh poor me" character.
She really didn't deserve Lucas in my opinion, who is a great alpha, sweet and loyal.
My vote: 3.5 stars

Focused on Claudia and her trip to Peru, suggested at the end of the last book. I don't expect YA novels to be all that unique, but this one seems more canned than the earlier books in the series. It's too derivative and nothing unexpected happens. Also, the focus on Lucas' looks gets old really fast.

The only really good thing I'll say about this one is that Erin does a great job of having Claudia have a different voice. Too many authors aren't able to do that. For instance, McGuire, whose writing I usually like, can't really do it. Her books tell stories from different perspectives, but they all tend to sound almost identical. Claudia sounds very different from Tessa, and that's good to read.

This book, Bruja, was really good. I honestly put off reading it for a while because it wasn't about Tessa, but I really wish I hadn't.
What I liked:
The romance. It was sweet.
The magic.
The characters. I found Claudia, the main character, very easy to identify with.
