4 Stars! Evie and Carter are Rom-Com gold! Agents at competing agencies who become competitors when their agencies merge, they begin to sabotage the other in the best ways! But in the end, they have each other’s best at heart and love succeeds. A very enjoyable story! Christina Lauren never fails to entertain!
This is the book that started it all. And by all I mean my obsession with adult contemporary romances!! Before I read this book I was a huge YA romance fan, as in that’s all I read. This was my first Christina Lauren book I’ve ever read and it showed me that novels can have more than just kissing!! Who knew??? I’ve done some ~investigative journalism~ and this was their first stand alone adult romance!
Need I say more than enemies to lovers? This book has the perspectives of Carter and Evie and when their competing agencies merge, they are set against each other. It even has a Halloween element

Another Christina Lauren book to add to the shelf of loves!
Even though there was a bit of predictability to Dating You, Hating You, I loved every second of Evie and Carter’s story. A work rivals to lovers journey with just the right amount of twists and turns to keep everyone on their toes.
And as always, the best friend banter was the absolute highlight of the book.

I really enjoyed this story. Carter and Evie were likable characters that persevered despite challenges to their new relationship.
What really struck me in this story is the workplace politics and discrimination that goes unacknowledged because of competition to climb the ladder. That subtle condescending comments and demanding assignments that people chose to ignore so they don’t come off as “weak or whiny” while the offending supervisors are emboldened to continue.
This story was much more complex than it seemed at the beginning and I’m glad I ignored my friends advice not to read it. I’m so glad that I did!

I would have quit that job much, much earlier, but the end was quite satisfying and I did like Carter quite a bit.
